All-In The Football Team crushes league leaders
Submitted by Roy on Thu, 17/11/2011 - 01:23Pentasia League leaders Gaming VC had seven straight wins and a goal difference of 36-4 until they took on All-In The Football Team Wednesday. All-In played their best game of the season and won comfortably 6-3.
All-In took the lead 3-0 after cynical defending and clinical counter attacks. Gaming VC made it 1-3 and 3-5 in the 2nd half but there was never any real question as to where the three points would end up. When the referee whistled for full time the score was 6-3 in favour of the green jerseys.
The All-In squad showed tremendous discipline and great passing skills as they outplayed the opponents time after time. Anders Mørup Kristensen (2), Fredrik Johansson (2) and Per Hertz (2) scored the goals, while Jacob Nielsen, Rasmus Hatting, Søren Mundbjerg and Carlitos kept a solid defence in front of quality goalkeeping from Johan Nyberg, all with surprisingly good control of the ball.
Most of the goals were in the category "nice to look at", especially the goals of Mørup Kristensen. One of them (4-1) was a canon ball shot that hit a post twice before ending up in the back of the net behind a confused Gaming VC goalkeeper.
"Yeah I got a bit lucky there, and I needed the help from both posts", Mørup Kristensen humbly commented after the important win.
Gaming VC was on top of the Premiership Pentasia League with 12 of 12 points before the game against All-In Translations. After five games both teams have 12 points. Things are really heating up at the top of the table, and now Betsson Moneymakers is the only team with straight wins, but they have only played three games so far.
Attard Futsal Team (10 points after four games), Phillip Toledo and NOIQ (9 points after four games) are also up there in the fight for the league trophy. All-In Translations does not play any game next week, but meets Attard Futsal team to a big clash on November 29th (Tuesday).
