MELITA GROUNDS, GIDA LEAGUE: FC SCANDINAVIA VS. AD 2000 2-1. FC Scandinavia (FCS) playing coach Johan Nyberg did not have many positive things to say about his team despite three points and a late winning goal from Robin Larsson.

"The worst game from our side in a very, very long time", said Nyberg (below) when asked to summarize the game against AD 2000 at Melita Grounds in the GIDA league on Sunday.

The Sky Blues finally won 2-1 in a match that lacked positive highlights from FCS' side apart from the 1-0 goal after 15 minutes which was a real stunner. Midfielder Sebastian Delsinger dribbled his way down the left side, getting rid of two opponents before he made a precise crossing to Markus Klintborg who met the pass perfectly and slammed it into the back of the net.

AD 2000 equalized after 23 minutes on a corner where goal scorer Klintborg was caught sleeping at one of the posts.

The FCS players seemed tired and did not move as much as usual. The consequence of this was poor passing - which usually is the other way around and a regular trade mark for the Scandinavians.

Robin Larsson (below) made it 2-1 with 12 minutes left to play after a corner.

According to coach Nyberg FCS was very lucky to go home with all three points after a dramatic end to the game.

"AD 2000 hit the cross bar and also got one goal marginally disallowed for offside towards the end. After we made it 2-1 we played even worse. AD 2000 started closing down higher up in the pitch, and successfully stressed us into making mistakes. Lot's of credit to AD 2000 for playing a good game, I am just happy we managed to secure the third win of the season", Nyberg explained.

FCS is stil on top of the GIDA league with 9 of 9 points, but needs to improve if the success from last year is to be repeated. On Sunday at 11 AM they will play the first match of the X-mas Cup which FCS won last year, against Birnapa at Melita Grounds.
