Pie Makers Capture Football Business Award in Front of All-in Translations

Roy Pedersen

A few years ago we added "ball sports" as a subject of expertise for our language services in addition to "gaming" which had been our only focus previously. Ball sports was a natural progression for us both since we have plenty of experience localizing sportsbooks and sportsbetting content, and since many of the staff members are fanatic sports fans. Our new venture was launched before the Euro 16 with this video that you may remember.

Our efforts in the ball sport vertical was recently recognized with us being nominated as "Best Professional Service Business Serving Football" at the Football Business Awards in London. The awards show took place last night with our Business Manager Michele Spiteri (right) representing us.

Congratulations to pie makers Piglets Pantry who won the category All-in Translations was nominated in. Who doesn't love a good pie at a football match? We could not agree more with the jury's decision here.

"We didn't win but our table friends Rangers FC did. So we had a great time!", Spiteri said.

We actually could not find Rangers in the list of winners, which confirms at least the second part of Spiteri's statement. The event was held at Tobacco Dock and the attendees were mainly representatives from the football industry. Clubs like Swansea, Wolverhampton, Chelsea, Manchester City, Burnley, Sunderland and Leicester Tottenham could all take an award home.

The betting industry was also well represented. Among others with 32Red which is a part of Unibet/Kindred, one of our clients, and Betstars who won the award for Best Brand Activation Involving Football together with Leicester. Mischief PR won the Innovation Award with their Emirates FA Cup Story.
